When does Ellington in the Park open for the 2026 season?
We open on April 23rd at 11am. We are open daily from late April through October, 11am to 11pm. In the event of heavy rain or thunderstorms, check our Instagram for same-day updates before heading out.
Where is Ellington in the Park located?
We are at West 105th Street inside Riverside Park, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City. The address for navigation purposes is Riverside Drive at West 105th Street, NY 10025.
How do I get into Riverside Park to reach the restaurant?
Enter the park at 103rd Street and Riverside Drive. There is both a staircase and a ramp accessible from street level. We sit on two levels above the Hudson River, a short walk from the entrance. The venue is also reachable via the Hudson River Greenway bike path.
Is there parking near Ellington in the Park?
There is no parking inside Riverside Park itself. Street parking is available along Riverside Drive and West End Avenue. The closest subway stop is the 1 train at 103rd Street, a few minutes' walk to the park entrance.
Do you take reservations?
We do not take reservations. All tables are first come, first served. If you are planning a private event or group gathering for 25 or more guests, we do accommodate large parties with pre-ordered food and beverage. Submit an enquiry through our Party Reservations page.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Ellington in the Park. Please keep them on a leash at all times.
Is the venue accessible for strollers and wheelchairs?
Yes. The ramp entrance at 103rd Street and Riverside Drive provides step-free access from street level into the park. Please note the venue is split across two levels, and we recommend contacting us directly at (929) 325 1004 if you have specific accessibility questions before your visit.

Yes, covered seating is available on both levels.
Is Ellington in the Park family friendly? Can I bring children?
Yes. Families are welcome. The lower level opens onto beach volleyball, soccer, and softball fields, and a sandpit is nearby. Children are welcome during all opening hours.
Are there restrooms on site?
Yes.
Can I bring my own food or drink?
No outside food or beverage is permitted. Our kitchen serves burgers, tacos, pizza, salads, and weekly specials. A full bar offers cocktails, draft beer, and wine.
What is the best subway or transit route to Ellington in the Park?
Take the 1 train to 103rd Street. Walk west toward Riverside Drive, then enter the park at 103rd and Riverside. The walk from the subway to the restaurant takes approximately five minutes.
Are Ellington in the Park and The Ellington on Broadway related?
Yes. Both are owned and operated by the same team. The Ellington on Broadway at 2745 Broadway brings the same neighbourhood spirit indoors, with classic American comfort food, live music, DJ and jazz brunches, and a warm room that seats up to 130. When the park closes in November, the story continues there all year round.
